PIZZA SAUCE ~ REALLY GOOD!!!

This pizza sauce uses fresh herbs and medjool dates.  The recipe makes enough sauce for two large pizzas. This time, I made only one cauliflower crust pizza, so the second half of the sauce I plan to use in stuffed peppers.  I bet that will be awesome!

Ingredients

- 30 oz Crushed Tomatoes
- 5 Garlic Cloves
- 1/2 Small Red Onion
- 10 Basil Leaves (Fresh)
- 3 Oregano Sprigs (Leaves Only, Fresh)
- 3 Medjool Dates (Pits Removed)
- Salt and Pepper to Taste

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in blender.  Blend until smooth.
  2. Simmer sauce on low to medium heat (Don't burn it!) until moisture is cooked out.
  3. Remove from heat when thick and set aside.
